River Adventures wants to take YOU on a real rafting adventure! We offer whitewater trips on the Salmon River that will make your summer memorable. From thrilling rapids, to calm, deep pools, just perfect for swimming, you'll float through the second deepest river canyon in the United States.
Join
us for a one-day trip this summer. We recommend that you come to Riggins the
night before your adventure. River Adventures can offer advice on accomodations,
or even tell you about camping sites. On the morning of your trip, you will
drive to our headquarters, and meet at our offices at 9:30 a.m. (MST). Your trip will
begin at 10:00 a.m. (MST) with the shuttle to the river in a comfortable and
safe vehicle. It's about 12 miles to the launch site, where you'll be given a
thorough safety talk before you get on the water. You'll have a leisurely float
through some of the most beautiful country that you'll ever see, and after
several miles (and RAPIDS) you'll stop at a white sand beach for a great lunch.
After a relaxing lunch, it's back to the river. There are many more rapids to
run, as well as historical sites to explore. After floating about 20 miles,
you'll arrive at the Lucile Recreation Site take-out at about 4:30 p.m.. You'll
be met by the River Adventures shuttle driver, and be taken back to our
headquarters.
River Adventures provides:
Properly trained and Idaho licensed guides.
Self-bailing oar or paddle assist-rafts. (On an oar boat the guide does all of the work. On a paddle-assist boat everyone helps.)
Inflatable Kayaks. (Upon request.)
All necessary safety equipment.
Dry-storage on the boat.
Wetsuits and splashgear. (If needed.)
Lunch and beverages

Sunscreen.
River sandals or sneakers.
Straps for eyeglasses.

The only thing better than a day-trip with River Adventures is a two-day / overnight trip. With 40 miles of the Salmon River, comfortable beach-side camping, and fantastic meals, it's guaranteed to be something that you will never forget.
Or, if you are short on time, we also offer half-day excursions that make a wonderful break from driving. With 10 miles of the Salmon "River of no Return" you'll experience a great taste of the rapids that will leave you wanting to come back for more. From age 8 to 80, River Adventures has something for everyone!
